If this person was accompanied by family, friend,EMT or police wouldn't there be any report of wallet ID and contents. Plus any valuables noted in my hospital we highly encourage use of safe in security department or sent all valuables home to prevent these type of sceneros. Plus if the patient declines to send valuables home or lock up items it is documented and hospital isn't liable for loss.
